A migraine is more than a headache – a migraine is a painful primary headache disorder. Migraines are a chronic neurological disease with debilitating symptoms. The symptoms of migraine are more intense and incapacitating than a typical headache. Symptoms of a migraine usually include severe throbbing pain or a pulsing sensation, usually on one side of the head. The pain is usually accompanied by nausea, vomiting, and extreme sensitivity to light and sound. Migraine attacks can last for hours to days, and the pain can be so severe that it interferes with a daily routine.
