The Ultimate Bone Broth

Ready in 18-72 hours. The longer you simmer the more nutrient dense the broth.

Ingredients

  1. 7 pounds whole chicken,  chicken feet, chicken wings, turkey bones, game, beef or veal bones (with marrow)
  2. 18-20 cups filtered water
  3. 3 tbs apple cider vinegar
  4. 1 head celery chopped with leafy ends
  5. 6 large carrots chopped
  6. 6 large parsnips chopped
  7. 1 cup chopped/sliced shiitake mushrooms
  8. 2 large onion chopped
  9. 4- 6 large cloves garlic slices/chopped
  10. ¼ cup ginger chopped/sliced
  11. 1 tsp sea salt
  12. 1 tsp whole peppercorns
  13. 4 dried bay leaves
  14. ¼ cup dried Herbs, parsley and or thyme, oregano, rosemary, sage, dill

Or

2 cup fresh chopped herbs parsley and or, thyme, rosemary, oregano, sage, dill

Preparation

Chicken or Beef Broth

  1. Add all ingredients into an 8-10 quart pot/slow cooker or InstaPot and cover with filtered water.
  2. Simmer for 18 to 48 hours, then strain solids through a sieve into a fat separator. Pour into your favorite mug, sip and enjoy or cool and store in containers and freeze. Broth will stay in the fridge for 7 days or in the freezer for 3 months.
  3. Adjust time when using InstaPot.
