Psyllium Husk is an all-natural laxative that promotes bowel movement through the increase of bulk volume and water content. Psyllium is made from the husks of the Plantago Ovata seeds. It is a popular laxative known for helping with mild indigestion by soaking up the water in your gut and making bowel movement easier. Psyllium husk is prebiotic, which is needed for healthy probiotics to grow in the gut. Psyllium husk powder can also treat constipation, since it effectively softens stool. Psyllium powder can also help with weight loss, as well as lowering the risk of heart disease.
